Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. Considered one of America's best tight ends, he is the holder of an NFL record for having the highest number of receiving yards for every tight end. He is third in all time for the amount of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst for FOX sports studio. Gonzalez has been an anchor on FOX NFL KICKOFF - FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame program which airs before FOX NFLSUNDAY. This airs at 11:00 AM ET each Sunday throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez has signed a contract extension for The Falcons for two years and $14 million on the 15th of March 2013. This was despite the fact that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire after the 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player of active receiving yards for the final time in his career.
